Website information

Privacy policy

Last updated: 19 October 2026

Newground Projects uses this notice to explain how personal information is handled through this website. Our office is at 17 St Andrews Road, Southernwood, East London, South Africa 5213. For privacy enquiries and requests, email reception@newground.co.za. This notice covers website enquiries and related technical processing; a professional appointment may involve additional project records and requirements.

Information you provide

The contact form asks for your name, email address and message or project description. You may also provide a phone number, company name and service of interest, and any project details you choose to include in your message. We use these details to respond to your enquiry and discuss the services you request. Providing an enquiry is voluntary, but without the required fields we cannot accept it through the form. You can also contact us directly. Please avoid including identity documents, sensitive information or other people's personal information unless necessary and you are entitled to share it.

Enquiries

When online enquiry delivery is enabled, your enquiry is sent through Resend to Newground's enquiry inbox. The website application does not save the message body in its content database. Copies can remain in email correspondence and the email provider's systems.

Website and security information

Accessing the website transmits technical information, including your IP address and request information, to our hosting provider. Our submission endpoints use salted hashes of IP addresses to limit repeated requests, with these rate-limit records stored in Supabase.

Where online enquiries are enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile processes browser and connection information to check for automated submissions. The challenge is checked by our server before an enquiry is sent. This technical processing helps deliver and protect the website. Website administration requires an authorised account; Supabase processes account and sign-in information for this purpose.

Cookies and browser storage

Supabase authentication uses cookies to keep authorised website editors signed in. Browser settings let you clear or restrict cookies; restricting authentication cookies can affect editor sign-in.

We do not add advertising or audience-tracking analytics scripts to the website. Embedded third-party services can still process information as described below.

Google Maps and external websites

The contact page embeds Google Maps to display office locations. When the map loads, your browser connects to Google and sends technical information such as your IP address and browser details. Google may use cookies or associate activity with a Google account according to your settings and its privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. The map can load without you clicking it. Office addresses are also available as text.

Links to external websites, including social media and directions, take you to services with their own privacy practices. Check their notices when using them.

Services that handle information

Vercel hosts the website. Supabase provides its database, content storage and editor authentication. Resend handles enquiry email delivery. Cloudflare Turnstile provides the enquiry security check. Google supplies the embedded maps. These services process information for their respective functions, and authorised enquiry recipients receive the details you submit.

These providers may process information outside South Africa. POPIA sets conditions for international transfers. Contact us if you need information about the providers, processing locations or safeguards relevant to your information. Information may also be disclosed where applicable law requires it.

Keeping information

Information may remain in enquiry correspondence and providers' technical or security logs. POPIA requires retention to be limited to what is necessary for the relevant purpose, subject to lawful exceptions. The applicable period depends on the record, any resulting professional appointment and legal obligations. Contact us to ask about retention of your information or to request deletion where the legal conditions are met.

Your choices and POPIA rights

Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you can ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access to it. You can request correction or deletion where the relevant conditions are met, object to applicable processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. These rights are subject to the Act's requirements and exceptions.

Send your request to reception@newground.co.za and describe the information or processing concerned. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Complaints and changes

You can also raise a privacy complaint with South Africa's Information Regulator. Its current complaint process and forms are available at https://inforegulator.org.za/complaints/.

We may update this notice when the website or its information handling changes. The date above identifies the current notice.
